Is Gaddafi High?

I'm not joking here.

After all the protests we've seen on TV, one has to think about what the fuck Col. Gaddafi is on. It must be LSD or something because he's hallucinating bigtime. For an authoritarian dictator he was quite clever. I'm not saying we should praise him for it (he's still a bit of a prick) but he made sure that he kept his dodgy deals hidden from the other nations. Yes, we could guess what he did to people who disagreed with him (pool full of sharks with lasers anyone?) but nobody had enough proof to get him for it. So, onto my point:

WHY THE FUCK IS HE CLAIMING THAT THERE ARE NO PROTESTS?!

He claims first that there are no protests, then that they are supporting him and then (and i love this part) , he even blames it on Al-Qaeda.

Seriously, has his brain just overloaded?
Is he just an idiot who's had a bit of political luck?
Any ideas where I can get what he's taking?
